I was always drawn to the "self help" section of Barnes & Noble.
Don't laugh, but it's true. 🙈
I don't remember when it started. But essentially I knew I needed help, and I knew it was up to ME to help myself.
I could see some people just had things figured out. Things that were a puzzle to me. I hoped reading some books would TEACH me what others seemed to instinctively know.
Like friends. I couldn't understand how it worked! Lol. I felt so socially awkward growing up. So the first book I read as a teenager was How to Win Friends And Influence People. A Dale Carnegie classic.
I read a few books here and there after high school and thru college. But totally stopped anything of the sort when I got married. Until .... Beachbody.
I love this is part of my job. Like, I LOVE it!
We are encouraged as coaches to spend time reading a good book to grow & learned.
At first, the fact that it's all over our coach training surprised me. But Beachbody is a UNIQUE business! We WANT the kind of people willing to face their hang ups and grow as an individual.
Growth ain't your thing? Coaching likely isn't your thing EITHER. ✌🏼#dontwasteyourtime
But it's definitely MY thing.
I WANT to grow. 📈
I want to be rich on the INSIDE. 💸
Fill my head with ALL the new ideas please!!
Cuz I know to arrive at a NEW destination I can't be rotating the same thoughts I currently have over and over again. ♻️
Gotta have new ideas coming in from the greats like John C Maxwell, Brendon Burchard, Brian Tracy, Gay Hendricks, Brene Brown, Jim Rohn and Jack Canfield.
They are my mentors, and they don't even know it. 😉
Just remember friend, you were designed to move FORWARD! Happiness and satisfaction come as you move closer and closer to the person God created you to be.
