I appreciate the days I'm running errands and driving around a lot, or doing more around the house. BECAUSE..... it gives me a chance to get in extra business reading. 📚#audibleisthebest
Right now I'm digging this book.
I had to pull over and bookmark this quote....
"The most important person you'll ever talk to is yourself. So be careful how you speak to yourself."
Hits home for me in a big way! Because I WAS that self negative talker. It was all well intended, I want to be a good person. I believe in God, and I want to be close to God.
But what happens when I make choices that don't bring me closer to God? For me the cycle was .....
Then- self criticism.
Assuming self criticism would motivate me to course correct. 🙄
Buuuuut I've learned that cycle only strengthens a belief I'm not worthy of God's love, then I create experiences to validate that belief!
Self forgiveness is a powerful thing friends. Yes, even in your journey to be healthy and fit.
🍪🍕🍟Annoyed with yourself for eating something you know isn't the best?
⏰🔌😴Annoyed with yourself for hitting snooze this morning and/or skipping your workout?
Be careful how you internalize that!
Cuz your words are POWERFUL.
So here's what works for me.
When you feel frustrated with yourself - PAUSE. 🎬 Say "Thank you for this emotion of frustration. I know it's simply feedback from my spirit reminding me of what I'm capable of. What a sweet reminder of my divinity! I'm really grateful I have this internal compass to assist with course correction so I can ultimately feel GOOD. I am simply LEARNING what works for me and what doesn't work for me."
Cheesy?, perhaps. But it works. 🙌🏼 #cuzitsTRUTH
Please know I'm not here to convince anyone to believe in God as I do. But if I CAN convince you of anything today it would be this.......
>> Be kind to yourself <<
You have greatness within.
