Traveling home, reflecting on the last few days, and feeling an abundance of gratitude.
The truth is .... I didn't want to be a coach. I was curious, interested.... but I didn't think it was for me.
"Who am *I* to be a coach and share this with others? If someone wants to get healthy and fit they can figure it out on their own, they don't need me."
That was my thought process for four and a half months.
The morning of April 27, 2012 I was reading my scriptures and it's as if God reached down and shook my shoulders. In that moment I KNEW---- if I didn't do this, there were people who would NEVER believe THEY could change their life like I had.
I can't even write that out without tears threatening to spill over.
In that moment I KNEW I had a place in Beachbody. I HAD to do this, because I couldn't FATHOM being responsible for someone not getting their chance.
I remember that date of God speaking to me because it's the day I signed up as a coach. It's been quite the journey since then.
God has placed in my path people who connect with me. People who had even heard about Beachbody fitness programs before, but didn't believe it was possible for THEM, until I shared my story. Talk about a humbling experience.
I feel humbled by the opportunity I have to be a coach. This isn't just a hobby for me, this isn't just a JOB, this isn't just a passion, and you know what?.... this isn't even just about health and fitness for me.
THIS IS MY LIFE'S MISSION.
Because thru this avenue I get to show people who they REALLY are, what they are capable of, and I get to show people a systematic path to move closer to living their truth.
This photo doesn't even show everyone from the team here at Summit. But it still gives me goosebumps studying the faces in this photo. This photo shows people who are stepping out their comfort zone, people who dedicate their spare time to service, people committed to enriching and uplifting those around them.
This is a sliver of the ripple effect of that day, captured in a photo.
Forward Fitness coaches...... I am HONORED to rub shoulders with you all. You answered the call to do something DIFFERENT. Now stand tall, be brave, know God always has your back, and keep moving forward.
The best is yet to come.
