I feel the last year has been an experiment for me in learning the power of a MORNING ROUTINE.
It's been a slow process where I learned what works for me, gathered info from personal development books, studied other successful people and heard what THEY were doing, and finally.... I've found something that works for ME.
The Morning Miracle is an amazing book if you haven't read it yet, and he shares HIS morning routine.
From the inspiration I received while reading I developed a list that I work through every morning!
I make sure to wake up before the kids. I go outside and just sit in silence. I use the Omvana app to do a guided meditation. I pray. I read my affirmations. Then I think about what demands I have for that day and visualize my ideal day. Then I focus on the feelings I want to have that day, and state my intentions and goals for the day. Then I'm UP and head inside to do my workout. During my workout I have the audio on silent, and listen to an audiobook during my workout. Then I walk out the door and go for a gratitude walk. A brisk walk outside where I list off everything I'm grateful for the entire time. I come inside and read my scriptures. And journal any thoughts. Then I shower and listen to more personal development while I get ready for the day, and then I start my work stuff.
